HO and General GAY are the two leading and opposing mandarins when Ching EMPEROR HONG HAY is on the throne. The EMPEROR is greatly annoyed and orders for the execution of HO and his family. HO's wife and only daughter FUNG are lucky to have escaped, but HO is captured. FUNG and her mother hide at the house of another mandarin, AN.
