Tottempudi Gopichand, known professionally as Gopichand, is an Indian actor who works predominantly in Telugu cinema. Born on June 12, 1979, in Tangutur, Andhra Pradesh, he is the son of revolutionary Telugu filmmaker T. Krishna. He completed his degree in mechanical engineering in Russia before returning to India to pursue a career in cinema. He made his acting debut as a lead hero in *Tholi Valapu* (2001) before earning critical acclaim and widespread recognition as an antagonist in hit films like *Jayam* (2002), *Nijam* (2003), and *Varsham* (2004). His performance as Raghu in *Jayam* won him the Nandi Award for Best Villain. He transitioned back to heroic roles with the faction action drama *Yagnam* (2004), cementing his reputation as an action star.
