He founded Nasty Boy Productions in 2013 and went on to direct for studios including Men.com, NakedSword and Falcon Studios. MacNamara became particularly known for narrative-driven productions such as A Murdered Heart, Get. Away., The Swords and Falcon 1971. In 2021, he won the XBIZ Award for Gay Director of the Year for A Murdered Heart and was subsequently appointed lead director for Falcon/NakedSword. He has also co-hosted the Falcon/NakedSword podcast Discretion Advised and created entertainment projects outside traditional adult filmmaking.
